Umigame

“Umigame” (Sea Turtle) Swims through rays of light. His shell is made from the plaid shirts of a young boy and he swims in water made from the sundresses of his mother.  Turtles remind us that the way to heaven is through the earth. Just as the turtle cannot separate itself from its shell, neither can we separate ourselves from the earth.
